Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 31, 2026
Website: https://florivahome.com

Floriva Home is a personal blog, and I take your privacy seriously — the same way I’d want a site to treat mine. This page explains what information gets collected when you visit, why, and what say you have in it. If anything here is unclear, just email me and I’ll walk you through it.

1. Who This Applies To

This policy covers Florivahome.com and any pages, forms, or comment sections on it. It doesn’t cover other websites you might land on through links here — once you click away, their own privacy policy takes over.

2. Information I Collect

What you give me directly

If you subscribe to the newsletter, leave a comment, or reach out through the contact form, I’ll have your name and email address, plus whatever else you choose to write in the message.

What gets collected automatically

Like most websites, Floriva Home picks up some technical details in the background — your IP address, browser and device type, which pages you visited, how long you stayed, and the site or search engine that sent you here. None of this identifies you by name; it’s used to understand how people use the site so I can make it better.

3. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help websites remember things — your preferences, whether you’ve seen a popup before, that kind of thing. Floriva Home uses them for a few purposes:

  • Remembering site preferences and improving how pages load
  • Understanding which posts get read and which don’t
  • Supporting the ads and affiliate links that keep this site running

You can turn cookies off anytime in your browser settings. Some things on the site — like saved preferences — just won’t work as smoothly without them.

4. Advertising and Google AdSense

Floriva Home runs ads through Google AdSense and may work with other advertising partners over time. Google and its partners use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites across the web.

A few things worth knowing:

  • Google uses advertising cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and others.
  • You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings.
  • You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.
  • If you’re in the EU, you can manage preferences at www.youronlinechoices.eu.

For a deeper look at how Google handles this, their How Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites or apps page covers it directly.

5. Affiliate Links

Some posts on Floriva Home include affiliate links, mainly through the Amazon Associates Program. If you click through and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you. I only link to products I’d genuinely recommend, and affiliate partners have their own privacy and cookie policies that apply once you leave this site.

6. Third-Party Services

Beyond advertising, the site uses a handful of outside tools to run smoothly:

  • Analytics tools (like Google Analytics) to understand traffic and reader behavior
  • Email service providers to manage the newsletter, if you subscribe
  • Pinterest, since a good amount of traffic comes from there — Pinterest may collect data when you interact with pinned content or click through to the site, according to its own privacy policy

Each of these services has its own data practices, and I’d encourage you to look them up if you want the full picture.

7. How Long I Keep Your Information

I hold onto personal information only as long as it’s actually needed — to respond to your message, keep you on the newsletter, or meet a legal requirement. If you ask me to delete your data, I will, unless I’m required to keep it for legal reasons.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you’re located (including under GDPR in the EU/UK or CCPA in California), you may have the right to:

  • Ask what personal data I hold about you
  • Request corrections or deletion of that data
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time (there’s an unsubscribe link in every email)
  • Withdraw consent for cookies through your browser

To act on any of these, just email me directly and I’ll handle it personally — there’s no bigger team behind this site, so requests get a real reply, not an auto-response.

9. Children’s Privacy

Floriva Home isn’t directed at children, and I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If I find out that’s happened, I’ll delete it right away.

10. Data Security

I take reasonable steps to keep your information safe — but I’ll be upfront that no website can guarantee 100% security. If you’re ever concerned about something you’ve shared, reach out and I’ll look into it.

11. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, I’ll update this page and revise the effective date at the top. I’d recommend checking back occasionally, especially if you’re a regular reader.

12. Contact

Questions about any of this? Email me at homefloriva@gmail.com — I read everything that comes through.
